On Wednesday the 23rd May at 7 pm at the front of Tullawong State High School, the STEM Academy will be hosting a Star Party, which is an attempt to set the new Guinness World Record for the most people stargazing simultaneously across multiple locations. The attempt is organised by the ABC and Australian National University. It will coincide with the ABC’s Stargazing Live television event, broadcast that night.
To help with setting the record, ANU is making telescopes with tripods available for purchase for $7.15 (yes, your own telescope to keep for less than $10)! It is otherwise free to be involved.
