Concert Band and String Ensemble
Tullawong’s Concert Band and String Ensemble cater for students of all levels for all Wind and String Instruments. The ensembles are conducted by Mrs Corinne McNeil and Mrs Heidi Cooper and rehearsals run after school weekly. Students have the opportunity to participate in community performances, workshops and competitions.
Contemporary Band and Music Extension Ensemble
The Contemporary Band and Music Extension programs at Tullawong have been running since 2006 and comprises two bands featuring 3 vocalists, guitar, bass, drums, piano and wind (horn) section. Entry is by audition and rehearsals occur weekly. The Contemporary Bands perform both at school and within the wider community and are available for corporate functions.  Students learn live and recording production techniques, songwriting and stagecraft.  Tullawong SHS Contemporary Band alumni include Australian pop-rock sensation Sinead Burgess and a number of other former students now working in the music industry. The bands are directed by Mr Geoff Hooton and Mr Ryan Krarup who both bring their professional music industry knowledge and experience to the students.
Drama Troupe
Tullawong’s Dramatroupe lets students explore acting, directing and other theatre based activities under the guidance of our Drama teachers and Dramatroupe student leaders. Students from years 8 - 12 practice the skills of script-writing, theatre production, street theatre, clowning and acrobatics. The Dramatroupe performs at our annual Drama Night as well as other school and community based events throughout the year including tours to our feeder primary schools. The troupe rehearses one afternoon per week. Students participating in Dramatroupe are required to have a keen interest in Drama as an art form.
Performance Dance Team
The Performance Dance Team is comprised of Dance Extension students from Years 8 - 12   Students work alongside Dance Troupe Leaders and dance staff to create, rehearse and polish large dance pieces in a variety of genres in preparation for dance eisteddfods, annual dance nights, dance tours and other community school performances. Students work during class and after school to refine their technical and performance skills to ensure the troupe works at a high level of expertise. Entry to the Performance Dance Team is by audition.
